Shifting Into High Gear

Shifting Into High Gear

After one of our busiest first quarters on record, and the launch of my PETALS series into the international Interior Design world at High Point Market in North Carolina, I am very pleased to announce that my PETROL series will be debuting at the Dallas Market Center’s Design Gallery beginning June 1! We are super excited to be expanding our footprint into this new hub of the interior design space, not only nationally but globally. Suffice it to say, I’m dancing a jig in my studio!!

But, before I get ahead of myself, let me catch you up on what else has been going on….

Since our last newsletter in January, it seems we’ve been on sort of an extended tour of Florida, covering most of the state over the course of the last couple months. We started our travel in Palm Beach, immersing ourselves in the world of Ferrari at the amazing Cavallino Classic, headed up to Daytona Beach for a gallery opening for both my PETALS & PETROL collections at Gallery 500 and then back down to Naples for the Ferrari Club of America’s JetPort and Cars on 5th events in early February. Fortunately, between events we were also able to visit Key West, see the Everglades and spend a little time in Orlando with friends before returning home for a quick recharge and resupply - it can’t just be all work and no play, right?

Less than three weeks later, we were back in Florida for The Amelia Island Concours – one of my favorite car events of the year! As an added bonus we were also able to exhibit at our first Werks Reunion, the Porsche Club of America’s national bi-annual car show. A top bucket list event for any Porsche enthusiast, we had a great showing and I was very appreciative of all the passion and support I received from this brand that I have loved my entire life!

In April, we launched the PETALS artwork to the interior design world at the High Point Market in North Carolina and quickly realized the potential of this exciting new market. (we’ve already expanded our exhibit space and will be returning to High Point in October for the Fall Market event). At High Point I was also introduced to The Gallery at Dallas Market Center and they graciously invited me to exhibit in their exclusive designer only showroom to which I quickly responded “YES PLEASE!!”

Meanwhile back home, while we were busy crisscrossing the country, my PETROL work was featured in the January issue of Porsche’s National magazine “PANORAMA” and in March, the beautifully curated magazine “AVANTS” did an eight-page spread of my work with a lovely write up. (click links to read).

It has truly been an extraordinary season and I am so thankful for these amazing opportunities.

Sooo, you might say to yourself when does she paint?! That’s a good question…and the answer is, RIGHT NOW!! Currently we are hunkered down at home and in the studio. (If you’ve had a piece you’ve been considering, let me know ASAP and I’ll get it in the que…LOL!!) For the next two months, I’ll be busy working on commissions, creating new works, getting orders out and hopefully recharging with family and friends! In all honesty, it is a bit tricky transitioning from the 200 mph pace of nonstop traveling of the last 18 months, but I welcome the temporary reprieve and remain grateful for the opportunities presented. I remind myself that this is just another season of life and try to appreciate each new day!

I’m so grateful for you, your support, encouragement, and prayers! I look forward to connecting with you in-person sometime soon!

Cheers!

– Lyn
